Have a GREAT SUMMER, Park Sharks!

Dear Park Sharks,

I have two videos to share with you this week.

First, OK Go, a band whose videos we've enjoyed together for years, wrote a new song over the past few weeks (and- of course!- made a new video).

The lyrics at the end of the song say, "all together now, alone in the chrysalis."

When I was in elementary school, my grandma told me butterflies are symbols of hope. She said that when a caterpillar is inside a chrysalis, it may appear that the caterpillar is no longer useful, or it might feel disappointing that he's not doing his normal caterpillar things. BUT! Inside the chrysalis, the caterpillar is transforming into something totally new- a butterfly. (Check that out here!)

I have loved butterflies ever since and have them represented throughout my classroom. This spring has been really challenging, at times, Park Sharks. I know we have not been able to do many of our normal 'caterpillar things,' like being together at school. BUT! We have been changing and learning together, even as we're apart.

Second, I am SO looking forward to seeing you next school year!

In the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful summer! Enjoy the sun! 🌞

Please feel free to still explore this blog and e-mail me at agarner@wscloud.org with your music questions, things to share, or just to say "hi"!

Love,

Mrs. Garner
