At the end of another fabulous musical week at Worthington Park Elementary, I must send a special warning to our 3rd and 4th graders: the snow songs are coming. Next week, we will begin working on music to be featured on our Winter Concert, which (by the way) is Thursday December 15 at 7:00 pm and Friday December 16 at 1:30.
We will start with just working on concert music for 5 minutes each class, and spending the rest of the time on our normal mastery of rhythms, pitches, singing and instrument playing! We'll add a little rehearsal time each week, and by December we will be spending all of music class rehearsing. There are some really cool performances in the works!
This Winter Concert will show snow from a variety of perspectives, from the scientific, to the sentimental!
Please put our concert on your calendar and get ready for some snowy songs!
