Welcome back from break!
It's time for us to get started with preparation for our 5th and 6th grade Musical Revue: Making the Band! Our revue is based around songs that someone might play in a garage band. There are a lot of parts that will come together to make this work!
Speaking Roles
This year, I will be holding placement auditions for speaking roles. All 16 students who signed up for speaking roles will have a part, but I would like to hear each person read and act to decide which part will be best for him or her! Those auditions are during recess this week. They are:
Wednesday (TOMORROW!) for 5th grade from 11:15-11:45
and
Thursday (3/31) for 6th grade from 11:15-11:45
Part assignments will be posted here on Friday afternoon and you can expect to find a link to our script by Saturday (4/2) afternoon!
Percussion Ensemble and Dance Ensemble
Rehearsals for our percussion ensemble and dance ensemble will also begin next week.
Please print out your own copy of our rehearsal schedule (see link below) to know when you have extra rehearsals after school. Pay attention to who should be at which rehearsal. For example, one rehearsal may say "Percussion", but the schedule also says which percussion players should be there (i.e. "CAJON").
All students who participate in after school rehearsals must turn in a signed permission slip on or before the day of their first rehearsal. This assures that all students have parent permission and transportation for after school activities. Please print your own permission slip using the link below.
