We are back and rearin' to go with our Winter Concert Preparation.
2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students will be performing on our Winter Concert, February 19th at 7 pm and February 20th at 1:30 pm.
Here are a few things that may be useful for practicing at home:
3rd Grade:
Here is the Bach video we have watched in class which includes a melody from our song, "Cold and Fugue Season":
This video shows the words for "Cold and Fugue Season" and plays the song, too! We have been working on part one, which in this recording is sung by the female voice:
4th Grade:
Yankee Doodle Music and Recording <----You can find the music and audio recording to Yankee Doodle at this link! Keep practicing low D and F# (F sharp- no, that's not a hashtag!).
On the previous post ("Winter Break Practice"), you will find the practice video for our Presidential Rap. We are separating the song into sections for each class to memorize, so you don't need to memorize the whole thing!
The sections are as follows:
Verses 1-3: Miss Miller's Class
Verses 4-6: Mrs. Shannon's Class
Verses 7-9: Mrs. Long's Class
Verse 10: All
"These are the presidents..." : Chorus: All
2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade:
This is the song we will do together. 3rd and 4th graders are responsible for knowing all parts, and 2nd grade will sing the "America the Beautiful" section.
This is going to be a great concert! Thanks for practicing at home! :)
